The Cats of the Wat Pa Pao Cat SanctuaryThere's a guy at Wat Pa Pao. (Wat means temple.) He's not a monk. He's Khun Dee. He loves cats. He has at least 15 of them. All strays and street cats. He's been working hard to feed them. And, for I don't know how long, that's been pretty much the whole story of this cat sanctuary. However, now that word has spread of his efforts, local volunteers are donating food, flea and tick medicines, and even some silliness like catnip, toys, and a big soft quilt. We've also raised enough money to spay/neuter and vaccinate the 15 or 20 cats who live there. But we want to do more. We want to spay and neuter every cat in Chiang Mai. So yeah, it's about the money. But first, if you're reading this and you live in Chiang Mai, go to Wat Pa Pao and adopt a kitten or a cat. Or two. Or 20. Or just give them some cuddles. They're very friendly and docile and they love people. Okay, back to the money. If you live outside Thailand, you'd be amazed at how much "a little bit" of your money will do over here. Just for one example, US$50 will feed every cat in the wat for two months. Try that in America. If you use PayPal, send a donation to larocca.michael@gmail.com and I will personally take it to the veterinary clinic. Thanks!
