Movie Class Curricula (Visual -- Audio -- Oral)
Jan and Michael both taught movie classes, and most of what they used is here. Jan kept better notes. A few of these were never used because we left Hangzhou. Michael's had good results with a few that aren't listed here, such as AMADEUS, ARSENIC AND OLD LATE, SHANGHAI NOON, and THE SIXTH SENSE. Jan's had excellent result with the movies listed in her Literature Class, and Michael's used some of those as well. Michael was also planning to try out the STAR TREK:NEXT GENERATION episode called DARMOK, and to find something in KUNG FU's third season (the best one) and ask the students to point out our misconceptions about China.
